No matter where you are, you've surely experienced the muggy, heavy feeling that fills the air.
When people are troubled by humidity, they're often speaking about the percentage of vapor in the air referred to as relative humidity. Everywhere, every day around the world, moisture rises into the atmosphere in the form of humidity. In fact, at 76 F, each cubic foot of air contains approximately .00084 lbs. of water. One million cubic feet of air can generate up to 840 lbs. of water per minute when the water is harvested.
Depending on temperature, air can contain a fixed amount of water vapor; relative humidity is the ratio of actual vapor in the air to this fixed amount. For example, at a temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius), one cubic meter (35 cubic feet) of air can hold about 18 grams (.6 ounces) of water. This would be a state of saturation, otherwise known as 100 percent relative humidity.
Water atmospheric harvesting functions best between 30% and 100% relative humidity.
AQV Aqua Harvesting is the process of employing a significant number of air intake sources for collecting air from the surrounding area. Moisture is drawn into the proprietary water-wall purification system, the purified water harvested is then transferred to our proprietary dehumidification systems for collection.
As the air passes through, moisture is drawn to contact with the dehumidifier's cooled coils. These coils use condensation to extract harvested water from the air. The collected moisture remains on the coils, then gathers into the water harvester's holding tanks where it is again purified, then transferred to the system retention tanks for distribution.
The water cycle producing humidity is repeated every day, everywhere around the globe.
Atmospheric water harvesting uses up to 95% less power when compared to saltwater desalination.
Atmospheric water harvesting systems can support high-speed bottling lines and Municiple water supply.
Unlike thermal desalination, atmospheric water harvesting does not rely on super heating then cooling the water supply.
AQV Aqua Harvest is designed and engineered to continue operating under the most extreme environmental pressures.
While a minimum humidity of 30% is recommended, customized solutions are available with cooling and our proprietary indirect seawater desalination™
Our atmospheric water harvesting works on all types of power supply. Our solar powered systems can operate as stand-alone systems in deeply rural areas.
